Frequently Asked Questions
The blue LED lights are perfect for vegetative growth to nurture tall and leafy plants. The red LED lights, on the other hand, are ideal for budding and flowering plants. For enhanced results, you might want to optimize this at different stages in a growth cycle, however the reality is that plants grow and flower best with both blue and red light all of the time, so I would recommend to keep both lights on.
The clamp is designed to keep the grow light steady when it's standing up and its arms are positioned accordingly. Without utilizing the clamp, the grow light may not be able to hold itself steady.
The Saber QUAD only produces red and blue light. It does not produce ultraviolet light.
The clamp will clip on surfaces up to 2.5 inches.
We recommend that the plants be kept at least 8 to 12 inches away from the grow light. We have designed the light so that you can conveniently modify the distance by adjusting the gooseneck arms to your liking.
Lumens measure how bright a light appears to the human eye. White and yellow lights will appear brighter as compared to blue and red lights. A high lumen value does not necessary mean that the light has the optimum color spectrum for growing plants. Thus we do not provide this metric on our grow lights. What is important to look out for is the color spectrum of the grow lights.
It is actually normal for the lamp to generate heat, particularly the tubes which are lit. The summer season, along with outdoor and indoor temperatures, is also expected to contribute to the heat. This is nothing unusual, and under no circumstances will this affect the lifespan of your LED lamp. Like any other lights in the household, the lamp will be hot, but its clamp and gooseneck shouldn’t be as hot as the lighted tubes. Rest assured that the lamp you received has undergone and passed all the necessary tests to ensure your safety.

I ordered three sets of these a few years ago. I am getting ready to order another o because I ran over one of the plugs when moving the table I had them on. I have had no issues at all and I bend them around to fit my plants so it’s not like they just hang with minimal use. Thanks brite labs!

I bought 2 of these over a year ago and I'm looking at them right now and thinking what a waste of money they were...So Im leaving a review. They worked for less than 2 months of minimal use and than started acting crazy where it would turn on flickering at random times, none of the buttons on it would work and now even when trying to turn it on it might turn on for a second than go off. And than all of a sudden weeks will go by and the light will be on flickering and the power button doesn't work....well none of the buttons work on both of them. Complete waste of money. I would of said I possibly got a faulty one if I had only bought one....but I bought 2 of them and they both have the same problems.

Sleek, but not durable
I purchased a saber quad directly from the brite-labs website in August 2021, and I've been enjoying it until recently. It started malfunctioning a few days ago. The settings started switching randomly on their own, and now, it just flickers for a moment when I try to turn it on, or it rapidly changes between settings before shutting back off (or not shutting back off when I press the power button). I checked the wires, tried different outlets, but didn’t find anything particularly damaged about it other than the crazy flickering behavior. It’s unfortunately unusable now after only two years of light use. I asked about a replacement or if they refurbish, but I was simply told that it was no longer covered by warranty. If you are looking for something durable, I would look elsewhere.

Was a truly amazing product… until it stopped working. I loved these lights cause I could use the timer when I’d be away on trips or for work. I knew they’d get their 6/12 hr lighting. I went away for work for 2 weeks and returned to find out the light stopped working. The usb connection just stopped working. I can wiggle it around to see the timer lights light up but when I press the power button, it barely powers the lights. Overall: great product, just the plug and cord connection are cheaply made.
